Take Home Kit

The instructions of each take home kit will be placed on this Google Drive.

Parents have 2 months to complete the 4 activities with their child. At the end of 2 months, the child can bring back any resources/share pictures of what he/she has done. Parents can also discuss the process of this kit during the Parent-Teacher Meeting in June.

​

This kit was specially designed to target all 6 learning domains, through integration of the areas in different activities. The theme for this kit is fruits. 

Contents of Kit
Scavenger Hunt

4 activities to complete in the market

  • The Strangest: Find the strangest fruit and take a photograph of it

  • Find Me!: Solve the riddles provided to find the fruit

  • Rainbow Fruits: Find a fruit for each colour of the rainbow

  • Ask for Help!: Ask someone for help for a fruit you like

How Do I Feel?

Discovery activity​

  • Identify and sort objects based on the textures (smooth/rough)

  • Visit a fruit store to identify a fruit and match it to the texture of the objects given

  • Complete the table by drawing the fruits identified in their respective textures

Complete the Watermelon

Physical activity game

  • Templates will be provided (half of the plates have numerals written on them, while the other half has the respective subitised form in the form of watermelon seeds)

  • Templates are to be placed around the house

  • Children are to match the numerals to the respective subitised form

The Collage of Letters

Practice resource

  • Letter recognition and letter formation

  • Three fruit words are provided for children (each letter is on individual A5 papers)

  • Children are to string the letters together with yarn and fill the letters with scrap materials found at home

​

  • Templates for 'pear', 'apple', and 'grapes' words
