Roles & Responsibilities

Phase One: Initial Interview and Needs Analysis

All members were involved in the process of crafting the questions and conducting the interview with the principal. Significant points of the needs analysis were consolidated from the perspectives of individual members.

Phase Two: Surveying the Teachers

Phase Two: Surveying the Teachers

All members were involved in the process of crafting the survey questions and sending them to the selected teachers. The survey session was implemented by Elysha and Qian Ying who asked further questions in order to gain deeper insights on the issue of parental involvement in the preschools, and how parental workshops are usually conducted.

Phase Three: Designing Workshop Materials & Take Home Kits

Each member oversaw an aspect of the creation of the proposed products:

  • Sheryl created the activity “Collage of Letters”

  • Ying Ning and Elysha created the activity “Complete the Watermelon”

  • Qian Ying created the activity “Scavenger Hunt” and the workshop slides

  • Jie Qi created the activity “How do I Feel?” and the pamphlet
